English Stats After Series Against The Windies
England lost the 5 match Test series against West Indies 1-0.
Let us analyse the stats of the English cricket squad.
Andrew Strauss
The English skipper played in all five matches took good responsibility for his team by scoring three hundreds his highest being 169. He scored 541 runs in the series with an average of 67.62 and with a strike rate of 57.37.
Ravi Bopara
The batsman played just one match in which he scored 104 with a strike rate of 72.72. If he had got a chance to play in the other matches who England could have won.
Matt Prior
The wicketkeeper batsman played in four matches and scored 310 runs with an average of 77.50 and with a strike rate of 71.10. He scored one hundred and two fifties. He best score was 131* and he also took six catches stumped one batsman.
Paul Collingwood
The batsman scored 430 runs in five matches with an average of 61.42 and with a strike rate of 51.12. He scored two hundreds and a fifty his highest being 161.
Kevin Pietersen
The former skipper played in five matches in which he scored 406 runs with an average of 58.00 and a strike rate of 61.14. He scored a hundred and three fifties, his highest score was 102.
Alastair Cook
The deputy skipper scored 384 runs in five matches with an average of 54.85 and with a strike rate of 49.82. He scored a hundred and three fifties. His highest score was 139*.
Owais Shah
He played four matches and scored just 133 runs. He had an average of 32.00 and a strike rate of 27.82. He scored just one fifty but no hundreds. His highest score was 57.
Andrew Flintoff
The allrounder played in three matches and scored just 94 runs with an average of 16.75 and 32.84. He also was unable to score hundreds and fifties, his highest score was 43.
He also contributed very little with the ball. He bowled 19 maidens and took only three wickets and with an average of 30.20 and with an economy rate of 2.42. His best bowling figures in an innings were 3/47.
Ian Bell
The batsman played just one match and scored just 32 runs with an average of 16.00 and a strike rate of 34.84. His highest score was 28.
Tim Ambrose
The wicketkeeper played just one match and scored 76 runs. He scored one fifty with 76* being his highest score.
Graeme Swann
The off spinner played just three matches and grabbed 19 wickets with an average of 24.05 and an economy rate of 2.53.
He bowled 52 maidens and had 2 five wicket hauls and his best bowling figures in an innings were 5/57 and his best bowling figures in a match were 8/149.
Stuart Broad
The pacer played all five matches in which he bowled 32 maidens, took 12 wickets including a five wicket haul. His average was 30.58 and his economy rate was 2.80. His best bowling figures in an innings were 5/85 and his best bowling figures in a match were also the same.
Steve Harmison
The pacer bowled very poorly as he grabbed just 4 wickets in the two matches he played. He bowled 10 maidens and his best bowling figures in an innings and a match were 2/49. His average was 54.4 and his economy rate was 2.68.
James Anderson
The pacer played four matches, bowled 30 maidens and took 9 wickets with an average of 38.00 and an economy rate of 2.65. His best bowling figures in an innings were 3/24 and his best bowling figures in a match were 4/94.
Monty Panesar
The left arm spinner played three matches, bowled 29 maidens and took just 5 wickets with an average of 54.00 and with an economy rate of 2.45. His best bowling figures in an innings were 2/34 and his best bowling figures in a match were 4/148.
Ajad Khan
The pacer played just one match and bowled 1 maiden, took 1 wicket with an average of 122.00 and with an economy rate of 4.20. His best bowling figures in an innings were 1/111 and his best bowling figures in a match were 1/122.
Ryanh Sidebottom
The pacer played in three matches and bowled just 9 maidens, took 1 wicket with an average of 181.00 and with an economy rate of 3.06. His best bowling figures in an innings and match were 1/146.
