The Best "U MAD BRO" Moments in Sports

Nick DimengoOct 23, 2012

Sports bring out a ton of emotions in people. So when we see an athlete celebrate a touchdown, game-winning shot or game-changing play, it's not surprising to see them go a little over the top.

One thing we learned from Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman after the team's win over the Patriots is that even future Hall of Fame quarterback's aren't off limits when it comes to rubbing a defeat in.

Thanks to some friendly words from Brady—who apparently told Sherman and 'Hawks safety Earl Thomas to "see him after the game when they win"—Sherman did just that. He then tweeted (since removed) the above picture of him getting in Brady's face.

You know we just had to find some of the other great celebrations that seem to add a little more insult to injury—those moments when guys ask the question, "U MAD BRO?"

Brad Wing

1 of 20

A punter scores a touchdown on a fake play but gets a taunting penalty for how he enters the end zone? Bummer.

However, it's still one of the great moments of the college football season that year.

Mohamed Farah

2 of 20

We don't think Farah was trying to rub it into anyone's face, it's just that we couldn't help but add this one.

Just look at the other runners once they realize the race is over, and all the training hours they've put into the Olympics have gone for nothing.

Deion Sanders

3 of 20

The King of Flash, Sanders could probably have a highlight video of all the moments he avoided tacklers and danced his way into the end zone.

This was one of our favorites, but Neon Deion made a living asking receivers and anyone else who'd listen about how good he was.

Michael Jordan

4 of 20

Dikembe Mutombo was one of the best defensive players of his generation, winning Defensive Player of the Year four times in his career. He was well known for his infamous finger wag following a rejection.

So it was probably appreciated by all the victims of his 3,289 career blocks to see MJ pull it out on him after dunking on him. Classic.

DeSean Jackson

5 of 20

It's tough enough to catch a guy that runs as fast as Jackson, so when a defensive player sees him actually stop before crossing the goal line, it might be tempting to go after him.

But the way he totally stopped then fell into the end zone probably warrants even more of a reason for a defensive guy to go after him.

Von Miller

6 of 20

Miller paid tribute to his traded teammate/friend Tim Tebow by busting out his Tebowing move following a sack on the Steelers this year.

The move has become more popular than planking (remember that?), but we appreciate it since it was done by Miller.

Usain Bolt

7 of 20

Bolt's known for his overly dramatic antics, so one shouldn't really be surprised he makes the cut here.

Bolt is easily the fastest man in the world, so we just wonder what some of the other runners are thinking before they race against him. There's no way that they think they can avoid getting posterized by his celebrations, do they? Poor guys.

2012 Mexican Men's Olympic Soccer

8 of 20

This is just a great pic of the Mexican team coming together and pouring out their emotions following an Olympic gold medal.

We can only imagine the defeat and angst in the Brazilian players' body language only yards away.

Alysia Montano

9 of 20

Much like the picture of Mohamed Farah earlier, Montano is jubilant in her celebration of winning a gold.

The look of complete defeat from the other runners is why it's here.

Mario Balotelli: Internationally

10 of 20

Balotelli has become the T.O. of international soccer.

Abrasive.

Arrogant.

A little immature.

His shirt-removing goal versus Germany in this year's Euro Cup in front of defender Philipp Lahm couldn't be anymore perfect for describing Super Mario's antics.

Mario Balotelli: League Play

11 of 20

Not to outdo himself with the previous goal celebration, Balotelli just couldn't resist getting in the face of Manchester United midfielder Anderson following a goal while playing for Manchester City.

Did we mention earlier that he really likes to get under opposing player's skin?

Terrell Owens: 49ers

12 of 20

We all remember this one.

Sprinting 50 yards to rub your opposition the wrong way is a good way to ask if they're mad, wouldn't you say?

What's better is career NFL rushing leader Emmitt Smith doing the same thing to show him up before George Teague's knockdown of Owens following his next touchdown.

Some guys take "We must protect this house" a little too literally.

Terrell Owens: Eagles

13 of 20

After Owens' days in San Fran, who can forget the tumultuous couple seasons he had in Philly with the Eagles?

In one of his better taunting moments, T.O. shows he's got moves like Jagger—OK, maybe like Ray Lewis—in this end-zone dance mocking the linebacker's famous entrance.

Allen Iverson

14 of 20

This play is by far our personal favorite.

Game 1 of the Finals.

On the road as an underdog.

MVP of the league.

Iverson is the definition of wet in this moment.

Scottie Pippen

15 of 20

Let's get this straight, Pippen's dunk over Ewing isn't one of the best in league history, but it's pretty damn good.

A 6'7" guy dunking over a seven-footer then standing over him to add just a little more disrespect is pretty epic stuff.

Stony Brook Soccer Player

16 of 20

In this rare back-and-forth sports moment, the goalie's attempt to psych out the kicker backfires, and the goal scorer just can't stop himself from rubbing it in.

Be honest, if you were in his position, you would have definitely done the exact same thing.

Sean Avery

17 of 20

Avery is one of the NHL's best instigators, as confirmed by this video. When he questions Talbot's manhood, accusing him of swinging and slapping like a sissy, it's funny stuff. We just hope Talbot's ego wasn't bruised too badly.

I guess it could have been worse—Avery could have just slugged him and gotten it over with.

Desmond Howard

18 of 20

Who knew that when Howard struck the Heisman pose after his punt-return touchdown versus hated rival Ohio State that it would become such a phenomenon?

It's one of the most duplicated things done these days, but never has it had as much of an effect—or as much overall badassness—as when Howard rocked the pose in the Big House.

LeGarrette Blount

19 of 20

A quick reminder for former Boise State player Byron Hout: Remember to be careful what you say.

When Boise State upset Oregon a couple years ago, fans and media types were pretty shocked. When Blount sucker punched Hout after he antagonized the Duck running back afterwards, it was, unfortunately, a "U MAD BRO" moment gone awry.

Muhammad Ali

20 of 20

It doesn't get much better than this. Ali yelling to Sonny Liston, "Get up and fight," is by far the best moment in sports taunting history.

If a guy needs some motivation, just take a look at this classic picture and start feeling great—or if you're looking at Liston, really defeated.
