With the 13th Overall Pick in the 2009 Draft, the Washington Redskins Select...
It's been another predictable offseason for the Washington Redskins thus far. They've spent an enormous amount of money to bring in Albert Haynesworth, DeAngelo Hall, and Derrick Dockery.
The Redskins' well-documented offseason priorities included improving the offensive line, the defensive line, signing DeAngelo Hall to a long-term deal, and possibly acquiring an outside linebacker.
They've addressed the majority of those needs with their current acquisitions, but what about the upcoming draft?

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Before free agency began, many people believed that the Redskins' would use their first round pick (13th overall) to draft either DT B.J. Raji out of Boston College, DE Brian Orakpo from Texas, or Mr. "Blindside" himself, OT Michael Oher out of Ole' Miss.
These circumstances have changed dramatically in the past few weeks. Many people believe that Raji and Orakpo will be in the top ten due to their recent performances at the NFL combine, which means they would be out of the Redskins range.
Although, many signs point to the Redskins selecting Michael Oher at No. 13, the need for a defensive end has gained importance due to the recent release of Jason Taylor.
This could possibly land Florida State's Everette Brown in a Redskins uniform, if they feel their need at defensive end is more important. There is also the possibility of the Redskins following last years formula and trading down for possibly a later first round pick and a third, or maybe two second rounders.
If the Redskins decide to use their first pick, it will be interesting to see if the Redskins decide to draft a player who can benefit from the $100 million man in the middle, or a ever-so valued reliable tackle.
Beyond the first round, the Redskins possess three picks in the third, fifth, and sixth rounds. With these picks, look for the Redskins to draft defensive lineman, offensive linemen, linebackers, and possibly a punter to replace the recently released Ryan Plackemeier.
With the believed to be $12 million dollar cap space that was created from the Jason Taylor transaction, the Redskins will most likely fill some of their needs through free agency before the draft, but until then it looks as if the 'Skins will draft Oher or Brown with their first pick.
This could change due to players falling down the draft board or the Redskins trading down in order to compensate for their lack of picks in the later rounds. I guess we will all find out the answers on the 25th and 26th of April.
