Attacking the Boards: Flash Falls to the King
Cleveland 107 - Miami 100: Dwyane Wade and LeBron James both left it all on the court in this one, but in the end, James came out on top, finishing the game with a game high 42 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and one steal.
Wade had a more impressive line with 41 points, nine assists, seven rebounds, and seven steals. Mo Williams added 30 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists to help out King James, while Flash’s most productive teammate was Jermaine O’Neal who finished with 16 points and eight rebounds.
New Orleans 98 - Philadelphia 91: Again the combination of Chris Paul and David West proved to be too much for the 76ers to compete with, and the Hornets rolled to get their fifth victory in a row.
West had 30 points, 10 boards, and five assists to go along with CP3’s 16 points, 12 assists, and three steals. Andre Iguodala led the 76ers with 30 points.
Atlanta 98 - Washington 89: Marvin Williams came out firing for the Hawks in this one, dropping a game high 28 points on 11 of 15 shooting to lead his club over the Wizards. Joe Johnson added an impressive double-double with 16 points and 13 assists along with six rebounds. Antawn Jamison had 23 and nine, to lead Washington.
Dallas 87 - Oklahoma City 96: Russell Westbrook had his best game as a pro, accumulating 17 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists to net his first career triple-double. Surprising by itself, but throw in the fact that the Thunder are still playing without Kevin Durant and Jeff Green, and you’ve got a really impressive performance on your hands. Dirk Nowitzki lead the Mavs with 28 points, six assists and five boards.
San Antonio 106 - Los Angeles (Clippers) 78: Tony Parker had a double-double with 26 points and 10 assists to lead the Spurs. Tim Duncan had 18 and 12 in his second game back. Every Clipper starter had double digit points, but no one on the roster had more than 14. Baron Davis had the best all-around game for the Clips with 10 points, eight assists and five rebounds.
