Glen Johnson at Age 40 Is Still a Road Warrior and UD's Judah
Glen the "Road Warrior" Johnson, at age 40, is still very much a Road Warrior, as he knocked down Daniel Judah in the first round of their rematch with a right hand to the head Friday night in front of Johnson's hometown Florida crowd.
Johnson then went on to dominate much of the rest of the fight—ending with a unanimous decision.
The younger Judah attempted to taunt, showboat, and even mock Johnson but did not have anything to respond to Glen's constant pressure style.
Two of the judges scored the fight 99 to 90 for Johnson and the third judge scored it 99 to 89.
Johnson, despite his misleading resume of 12 losses, moves on to a record of 49 wins, 33 KO's, 12 Losses, and two Draws. Johnson has big wins on his resume including wins over Harding, Roy Jones Jr., and Tarver.
Many of Johnson's losses are often widely viewed as controversial losses just as in the case with his recent controversial loss to the top ranked IBF and IBO Light Heavyweight Champion, Chad Dawson.
Johnson has expressed that he wants a rematch with the also 40 plus year old boxing legend Bernard Hopkins who was his only KO loss.
However, Hopkins is focused on going up in weight again to Cruiser-weight and go after Tomasz Adamek's belts.
With Hopkins looking to Adamek, Johnson should focus on a rematch with Dawson, for many believe Johnson had won their first fight.
Many question why Dawson is even rematching Tarver, when he clearly defeated Tarver in such a lopsided match.
Dawson should be rematching Johnson instead to make it known without any doubt why he is the best Light Heavyweight Champion in the world.
