10 Reasons Why the Championship Is Far Better Than the Premiership
1. The Playoffs - The playoffs ensure that many teams still have it all to play for right throughout the season. Unlike the Premier League, where the top four can usually be predicted, the race for the playoffs endures many twists and changes and even when all is said and done, predicting a playoff winner is never easy.
2. Grounds - The Championship is full of a variety of grounds, traditional as well as modern. Grounds like Ninian Park, with their terracing and close proximity, are not found in the Premier League and offer a unique match day experience.
You wouldn't be asked to remain silent in the Championship, eh Middlesbrough?

3. Fans - Yes, that's right, the fans. Many Championship fans wouldn't know a Prawn Sandwich if it fell from Arsenal's golden corporate boxes and hit them in the face. The Championship isn't the Corporate League that is the Premiership. Passion is the name of the game down here.
4. Homegrown talent - The money in the Premiership and the fear of the drop means that clubs are reluctant to blood youngsters and trust their youth academies. Sure there are some exceptions—West Ham and Middlesbrough come to mind—but the Championship is full of players representing their home town clubs.
5. Prices - Admission prices are generally lower and you do not have to be a member of the 'silver' and 'gold' club to guarantee yourself a ticket. This means that as a percentage of capacity, grounds are fuller.
6. Unpredictability - Alright we have touched on this, but one thing for sure is that the Championship is unpredictable! From one week to the next the league table becomes irrelevant as each game can swing either way.
7. Honesty - To be blunt, less diving!
8. Turnover - Every season there are six new teams in the Championship, whether it be via promotion from League One or Relegation from the Premier League. This makes each and every season fresh and exciting.
9. Real Fans - The teams in the Championship have more dedicated fans who most of which will have experienced more bad times than good.
These teams haven't marketed themselves to the upper classes like Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal and so you don't have to literally 'sit down, shut up'.
10. The Dream - The competitiveness, unpredictability and structure of the Championship allows all teams to Dream of promotion. Unfancied teams like Hull and Watford have been promoted on the back of the playoffs, showing that anyone can win the ultimate prize.
Throughout the season, most clubs will have something to play for, with at least 12 teams believing the playoffs are a possibility. Just look at Iain Dowie's Crystal Palace in 2005 for inspiration.
