Confession: I'm Not Ready to Live In a World Without McNabb!
I am a 17-year-old Eagles fan. I have been following the team ever since I was in the fourth grade and I must admit: I am not ready to live in a world without Donovan McNabb!
As it stands now, neither are the Eagles.
Donovan McNabb has taken the Eagles to five NFC Championship games in his legendary career. He has been the one all these years that the fans turn to after big games. He has been blamed and he has been praised. He has been everything for the Eagles this decade.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Sadly, with most fans (including myself) believing that McNabb has only a year or two left in his career with the Eagles, it is time to start thinking about Philadelphia without Donovan. There are several issues that must be addressed.
Gett McNabb a Ring!
Donovan McNabb, whether you choose to believe it or not, is one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game. But like many great QB's, he has not been able to win a Superbowl. Although QB greatness does not depend solely on Superbowl rings (Trent Dilfer? C'mon now), it would certainly be nice.
The Eagles need to draft or acquire a prime-time receiver in the offseason to make this happen. This will build on the already great combination we have with McNabb throwing to DeSean Jackson. Marvin Harrison would be PERFECT.
Bracing For the Unimaginable
McNabb can't be a QB forever. This is why we must acquire a plausible replacement for the legend. This replacement is definitely NOT Kevin Kolb. He was a nice draft choice, but will never be a franchise quarterback in the NFL.
We need to get someone worthy of replacing McNabb, not some kid from Houston. I believe Chase Daniel out of Missouri would be a great fit for the Eagles.
Maintaining Our Greatness
This cannot happen to the Philadelphia Eagles!
We are too great a franchise for this to happen. We must maintain our greatness by moving swiftly to prepare ourselves for the post-McNabb era. Right now, if McNabb were to retire, there would be little chance of the Eagles making a playoff run.
In fact, it would likely take years for us to rebound.
I know that the prospect of a world without McNabb is a difficult topic to address. The city of Philadelphia has been blessed to see one of the greatest quarterbacks in history play for their storied franchise. It's been a great ride. But, unfortunately, Robert Frost was right when he said, "nothing gold can stay."
