British Open Live: Online and Streaming Info for Day 4
If Tiger Woods is going to win the 2012 British Open, it appears he'll have to chase down an unlikely front-runner
The unheralded Adam Scott has been consistent through the first three days of play at The Open Championship, and he is the current leader at 11-under par. The tour's most popular player, Woods is still in it at six-under, but his even-par 70 on Saturday was a disappointment.
Going into the final day, Brandt Snedeker faded from his spot atop the leaderboard, Woods was on a slow but steady ascension. He bogeyed the 15th hole, and that made his day a bit more regular than he would have liked.
Still, only five strokes separate Woods from Scott, and there are a host of others still in striking distance, including Snedeker, who is at seven-under par along with Graeme McDowell.
This figures to be a thrilling end to the year's third major championship, and despite Scott's strong play, this is Tiger's most realistic chance this year to win a major.
The key for Tiger will be consistency. He has stumbled on the 15th hole twice this tournament. He'll likely need a bogey-free day on Sunday and hopes that Scott comes down to earth.
Scott has been remarkable, bogeying only four holes through three rounds. He and McDowell are the only golfers to have scored in the 60s in each of the first three rounds.
If he continues on this pace, no one will catch him.
