Top 5 Players That I Want with the Ball with 10 Seconds Left
5. Brandon Roy
I underestimated Brandon Roy for the first two years that he was in the league. I thought he would be a very good player, now I believe that he has a chance to become one of the great players of our time.
His clutch performance against the Rockets in November was one to remember. Roy was made to play basketball. He has great IQ on the court and excels in virtually every facet of the game. His best qualities, though, and what makes him dangerous at the end of games is his quickness, ball handling, and shooting ability.
He has a great crossover and to not give him a cushion is an invitation to be embarrassed. If you give him the cushion, a head fake and a jumpshot give him a great chance to win any game.

4. Dirk Nowitzki
Dirk is as dangerous a scorer as they come. He has by far the best jumper of any NBA player taller than 6'10" and he's 7'0"! Dirk has one of the prettiest shots in the history of the game, even if the rest of his game isn’t so pretty.
His specialty is taking smaller players on the high block and then fading away from them for the shot. It's impossible to block because he’s so tall, and he has a high arching shot with a quick release.
Dirk has the ability to make impossibly hard shots, and he rarely touches rim. In crunch time, his size and touch make him one of the best options in the NBA.

3. Carmelo Anthony
Carmelo Anthony is so successful in clutch situations because teams don’t like to double team in the waning moments of a game. This works in Melo's favor because he is virtually impossible to guard one-on-one.
His jab and pump fake moves, along with his lightning fast first step and deceptive strength when he goes to the basket, make him a nightmare in man defense. He can stop on a dime or step back at any time for an automatic jumper. A case can be made that Anthony has the most complete offensive game in the league.
Carmelo has unwavering confidence in his ability to make any shot—making him fearless in crunch time. Since Carmelo has entered the league, nobody has made more game-winning shots than him.

2. Tim Duncan
As much as I dislike the Spurs, I have the utmost respect for Tim Duncan. With his patented bank shot, he can get a good look if you play off of him, and he is ingenious in getting to the paint, if you overplay him.
If he gets the ball in the low block, it's game over unless you are one of the very best post defenders in the game. The only way to stop Duncan is to deny him the ball, which is extremely hard to do because he plays with so much passion. Especially in the playoffs, Duncan has a propensity to come up big with little time.

1. Kobe Bryant
Kobe is third in the league in scoring, but if he decided to revert back to the style he played four years ago, he would be leading the NBA in PPG by a wide margin. This one is pretty much a no-brainer.
Kobe can get up a decent shot at any time against any defender (and two defenders most times). If he is double teamed, he has the ability to find the open man and get them the ball with his superior passing ability.
Like the great clutch players of all time, Kobe has supreme confidence in his ability to score. He has no fear of losing a game on a missed shot. He cares only about winning.
