US Olympic Trials 2012: Friday Event Schedule, TV Info and More

David DanielsJun 7, 2018

Ryan Lochte’s break is over.

After getting a day off on Thursday and watching rival Michael Phelps win the 200-meter butterfly, Lochte will be back competing on Friday.

Lochte gained an edge on Phelps in the U.S. Olympic Trials right off the bat, beating him in the 400 individual medley and the 200 free semifinals.

Now that Phelps has bounced back with a pair of victories of his own—one over Lochte in the 200 freestyle—Lochte will attempt to take back his momentum.

Paul Newberry of the Associated Press reported that Lochte talked about his Friday schedule going into the weekend. He said:

"

I have a hard double tomorrow. I know I have a enough time to do the 100 free, but we already made a plan going into this meet that I was just going to do semifinals of 100 free, and then whatever happens, happens.

"
