WWE: Why Matt Hardy Should Run the Tag Team Division
In recent years, WWE hasn't put as much focus into their tag team division as some would like to hope. Back in the day when the tag team titles used to mean something, as well as the matches they were contested in, they're now nothing more then props used to pass around between tandems in hopes of getting them over.
Since 2010, the number of tag teams that contain chemistry in the company have dwindled down to nearly nothing, leaving random pairings such as current WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and R-Truth to join forces and take the titles.
However, I'll give credit where credit is due, as WWE has been putting more effort into their division in recent months with the formation of the Prime Time Players and their newly acquired manager, Abraham Washington. Together, the three are looking to dominate the tag team scene and eventually capture the straps at some point in the very near future.

They're not the only ones, as longer reigning teams such as Primo and Epico have stated their claim for the titles, and they will look to avenge their loss of Washington a few weeks ago at No Way Out. As newly turned fan favorites, Prime and Epico have potential to truly shine as a team to get behind in the tag division.
Although these aforementioned teams and others have showed true promise in rebuilding the dying division, there's still something missing that it holding the tag team scene from evolving into something much greater.—an established veteran who knows tag team wrestling better than anyone else imaginable.
Of course, I'm referring to none other than Matt Hardy.
Last weekend, I had the great honor of meeting my idol, Matt Hardy, at a local wrestling event in which he was competing at. It was from that monumental moment on that I knew Hardy had to be back in WWE in some capacity, as his vast knowledge of the industry and overall experiences are something that should not be wasted.
For those of you questioning the move to bring Hardy back to WWE, please hear me out. Over the course of the last nine months, the man who claims he will not die has taken extra pride in cleaning up his act and has successfully done so by motivating himself each and every day as part of his recovery.
Upon Hardy's debut in WWE some 15 years ago, he was immediately placed in a tag team with his brother, Jeff Hardy. From there, the two would go on to become one of the most iconic tag teams in the history of the WWE, revolutionizing the TLC match with Edge and Christian and the Dudley Boyz at the turn of the millennium.
With Hardy's conscience now clearer than ever, his tremendous talent can be utilized in WWE as the head of the tag team division. Much like how Goldust worked with the Divas a while back in organizing their matches, Hardy can be used to give advice to up-and-coming stables such as Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel on what they need to do to get to the next level.
There will always be those "Hardy haters," so to speak, that will dwell on his past and the mistakes he once made, thus preventing him from taking this privileged position. What people need to realize is that those things are in the past, and they obviously haven't been following his road to recovery in recent months, which has seen him overcome his demons.
While there certainly is hope left for the remaining tag teams in WWE, the division can't be fully resurrected and regain prestige until it's given direction. I wholeheartedly believe that Matt Hardy is the one who can take charge of the division and bring it to heights never before reached.
