Agents: Our New Best Friend
It's combine time, it's trade time, it's rebuild time in the NFL. It's time for an upgrade, it's time for that feel good feeling, it's time to feel good about your team reaching the Super Bowl. It's time to put last year on the fire and watch it burn. Put those bad calls, those bad plays, those bad coaches, those bad players, those selfish players, those bad games, and last but not least, those bad sideline calls.
That's right; it is a new day, a new season.
Now, some organizations just can't learn. Actually they can't part with money, or the front office can't make the proper adjustment decisions. Or even worse, they let players and the agents control the flow of contracts.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Agents—now there is a piece of work. These guys don't get banged up on game day, these guys don't suffer career-ending injuries, these guys aren't put into situations with new teams; these guys collect money while controlling someone else and their life. What a job. These guys are advanced car salesmen with a gift of advanced bull-----, you know what I mean.
I think what really gets me is that players let these people create their lives. Aren't these players smart enough to take phone calls, sit in an office, make their own decisions? Nope, they have to have an agent, 12 cars, a house too big, an ego larger than Texas, an attitude out of control, an alliance with the dark side, and a position of, money allows me to be pampered, and you are just another pawn in my game.
Now to be fair, not all players fall into this category, and don't think that they do. Some players are great neighbors, great people, and give more than they take. I know, some are my neighbors.
OK, back to combine, trade, and building that Super Bowl team. Good luck to all of the players, all the teams and all of the agents—well, not the agents. As you can tell, I'm not that big on control freaks, especially when they actually believe they are helping the client as opposed to their bank accounts.
Welcome to the world of professional sports.
