US Open Golf Live Streaming 2012: Tiger Woods and Golfers to Watch for on Sunday

Patrick ClarkeJun 7, 2018

Sunday's final round of action at the 2012 U.S. Open from the Olympic Club in San Francisco, Calif. is sure to entertain golf fans and casual viewers alike as Tiger Woods is once again a factor down the stretch of a major tournament.

Tiger has looked rejuvenated out on the golf course and his strong play as of late speaks to his good health and new-found confidence.

Woods isn't the only golfer fans should be watching for on Father's Day, though. Here are a few worth your attention:

Tiger Woods

Don't underestimate the momentum Tiger Woods gained at the Memorial Tournament two weeks ago in Ohio, where he used an impressive five-under effort in the final round to win his second PGA event in two months.

Though many predicted Woods would collapse early at Olympic, he has done anything but. His play through the first two rounds looked like the Tiger Woods of old—poised and purposeful.

Despite the course playing much more difficult for him in the third round, Woods managed to keep just a five-stroke difference on the leaders. If his final round in Dublin two weeks ago is any indication, he will be around late on Sunday.

Graeme McDowell

Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell captured his first and only major tournament victory at the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach two years ago, so it's safe to say he's comfortable in front of the summer spotlight. McDowell hung around through the tournament's first two rounds, finishing Friday just two strokes behind the leaders.

McDowell finished just outside of the Top 10 at Augusta last April, shooting two under for the tournament in what was a solid effort from the 2010 U.S. Open champion.

McDowell will surely be motivated to represent his native Northern Ireland better than defending U.S. Open champ Rory McIlroy, who missed the cut after shooting a dismal 10 over through the first two rounds. He is tied for the lead heading into the final round.

Jim Furyk

It's been 10 years since Jim Furyk won his only career major at the 2003 U.S. Open at Olympia Fields in Illinois.

Furyk was tied for the lead along with Woods and David Toms heading into Saturday—a testament to his dedication to the game of golf at age 42.

Furyk has played composed and steady at Olympic thus far and positioned himself nicely for a solid finish on Sunday. If fans aren't rooting for Tiger down the stretch, they can certainly get behind a veteran like Furyk, who is tied for the lead heading into Sunday.
