Story To Watch For In Round 1
How will the trio of Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson fare?
All eyes are going to be locked on the high-profile grouping with Woods, Mickelson and Watson. Woods enters the U.S. Open with a lot of hype behind him, thanks to his victory at the Memorial Tournament two weeks ago.
Mickelson is coming back from the "mental fatigue" that forced him to withdraw from the Memorial. Watson became the darling of the golf world following The Masters two months ago, but has been unable to capitalize on that momentum.
There might be better performances in the first round of this tournament, but the only thing that people will want to talk about his what happened with these three studs.
