WWE Bill Of Rights: Amendment I
Recently I was bombarded with American History in my U.S. history course. I love history do I didn't mind. Speaking of history, this is my first history article. My mind does fall of focus from time to time, and when it did, It sparked an Idea. What I've came up with was an idea for ten amendments for the WWE. Let's Start with...
AMENDMENT l: Freedom of speech
Freedom of speech might have been apart of our nation's Constitution, but there wasn't so much "freedom" in the WWE. There have been pioneers in the fight to gain freedom of speech, press, and assembly. Unless you weren't praising the fans (see: John Cena, Hulk Hogan), free speech was very hard to come by.

The WWE while peaceful was a little rough around the edges in the 80's, but the 90's brought a whole new "attitude" to the wrestling giant. WWE remained a little " Democratic" while fighting for their rights, while WCW had pulled a page out of Karl Mark's Communist Manifesto, and revolted with the emergence and rise of power of the stable, New World Order (NWO).
WWE was held down by the man (Vince McMahon). Vince didn't want a back talk or bad lip, so he formed his powerful "government-like" stable, the Corporation. This consisted of Kane, The Rock, Undertaker after a merge with the Ministry of Darkness and Triple H, who later joined after marrying Vince's daughter, Stephanie.
Who were our civil rights activist? Before Triple H took that turn, he and his stable, Degeneration X (DX) refused to be held down by "The Man". They raged war against the Corporation, which included many battles, including one where Mankind had defeated the "corporate Rock" for the WWE championship.
Vince never let down and was determined to silence all resistance. Stone Cold Steve Austin was probably the most prominent activist, who clashed with "the boss". Austin wasn't really fighting for WWE superstars to be able to have some freedom cause he only cared for himself, but he help create some freedom.
Superstars got to express whatever they wanted for a while since Austin had McMahon's number for a while. "Austin 3:16 said I just whooped your ass!" He wasn't WWE's version of MLK, but he was one of the WWE civil rights movements. Stone Cold and attitude era passed this first Amendment.
The Amendment is constantly violated.
Stephanie McMahon recently wanted to run RAW, "her show". Superstars have been acting out against her authority especially Chris Jericho. Jericho has been a jerk, but he has a right to express his opinion whether its outrageous or not. Jericho was fired as a result (He begged for his job the next week), and Orton indirectly punted Vince McMahon, which in turn stopped the McMahons from running RAW together.
On Smackdown, GM Vickie Guerrero and Edge try to claim absolute power with La Familia. Triple H has expressed his resistance and clashes with them.
