WWE No Way out 2012: Is John Cena vs Big Show the Right Match?
With No Way Out less than a week away, you have to start wondering what the WWE was thinking.
Why does it assume that people want to see Cena vs The Big Show? For that matter, why is this match set as the main event?
Is Cena vs the Big Show the right match? Maybe five years ago it was, but as we move forward this year, and after having some stellar main events so far, Cena vs Big Show just doesn't add up.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
After losing to the The Rock at WrestleMania 28 and then managing to defeat Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules, Cena taking on the Big Show is pointless.
Are we supposed to believe that The Big Show is some type of threat? That he can actually beat John Cena? Can he do what a former UFC champion couldn't do?
Add the fact that Cena and Show have already squared off against each other in WrestleMania 20, and this match seems one sided.
Do you really believe super Cena will lose?
If anything, this match seems like a big step backwards for John Cena. After facing off against opponents like The Rock and Lesnar this year, going against Show seems nowhere near as big.
Another issue with this match is that it’s the main event of No Way Out, but so far away from a main event caliber match.
As mentioned before, we've already seen Cena and Show duke it out. Putting these two wrestlers in a steel cage makes it no different.
Both wrestlers are very one dimensional, using their strength to dominate opponents.
What could the combined efforts of Cena and Show do to wow an audience like a main event match should? This match, if anything, might have been acceptable if it was schedule toward the middle of the pay-per-view, or even right before the main event.
The Big Show vs Cena should have never been selected as the match to highlight No Way Out.
Are you really going to pay to see Cena vs Show?
Wouldn't a better selling point have been to book the main event match as the one around the WWE championship? Shouldn't the Bryan/Punk/Kane match been the center of attention? It's been the better of the two storylines so far, especially with AJ thrown into the mix.
Instead they seem second fiddle to Cena and Big Show's match.
Let's also not forget that Big Show's push was a waste. At this point, it's time for the WWE to accept that no matter what they do, Big Show will not come across as the wrecking machine he once was.
Why wasn't another wrestler pushed instead of Show? Tensai could have easily fit in where Show is now, and it could have had the potential to be a good match. After all, we were shown promos for Tensai's debut months ago, and now that he has debut, it seems like he is doing nothing.
Weren't we supposed to believe Tensai was some type of destructive force in the ring? Instead we’ve seen both Cena and Sheamus pin the massive man, leaving us to wonder if he really is all he was hyped up to be. Why waste a push on the Big Show when Tensai would have benefited from it more?
Lastly we as fans lose out because of this match. Why are we being treated to recycled material? After the amazing Cena/Rock match at WrestleMania 28, then Cena/Lesnar at Extreme Rules, and even watching Cena beat up John Laurinaitis at Over The Limit, the Cena/Show match seems like a slap in the face.
Maybe the WWE decided to throw this match together to try and hold our attention while they figure out what to do next with Cena.
Regardless, the question still remains:
Is Cena vs Big Show the right match?
Absolutely not.
