"John Laurinaitis no longer officially serves as WWE's Executive Vice President of Talent Relations; his bio has been removed from the WWE Corporate website's index of executive officers. Therefore, the former 'Dynamic Dude' is solely an on-air performer for WWE. However, he is still branded as the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations in his WWE.com Superstars profile and on his Twitter account.
"
I decided to do a little snooping of my own and was surprised to see Mr. Excitement is indeed no longer listed on that page. You can take a gander for yourself by clicking here. I am sure we won't know anything for some time to come. Ultimately, there are only two options here: either Big Johnny has indeed been relieved of his offstage duties, or this will play out in a storyline.
Keep in mind, the WWE has removed stars from their online roster to further storylines in the past. So this wouldn't be that much of a stretch.
No matter what, it will be interesting to see what the WWE has in store for him. I personally can't see a reason for the WWE to unseat Laurinaitis, as many behind-the-scenes staff members have played on-air roles at the same time. Take J.R. for example. Prior to being "fired," every week he would work as an on-air broadcaster while holding the talent relations position.
In the end, I guess we will have to wait and see what happens.
It should be noted that Laurinaitis has been with the WWE for over 10 years and served as executive vice president of talent relations for over seven years. So he definitely has played an integral role in the lives of several current WWE stars. Some of those stars include CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and The Miz, to name a few.
In closing, if this is indeed the end of his corporate career, it should be looked upon as a successful one, as he was able to spot and create some big stars that didn't fit the WWE mold.
Now it's time for you to weigh in. Did Johnny Ace get future endeavored from his backstage work, or is this all a part of an angle that will play out on a later date?
