Darrelle Revis Wants to Retire as New York Jet
Well, isn't this interesting?
With recent reports that New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis might holdout throughout training camp in hopes for a new contract, something that he achieved just two years ago, you might have thought that Revis and the Jets were heading toward yet another contract dispute.
That certainly has sizzled down—for now, at least.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
According to Josh Alper of NBC's ProFootballTalk, Revis spoke with Jenny Vrentas of the Newark Star-Ledger and he stated he will honor his contract and ultimately went onto say that he wants to retire as a Jet.
However, Revis did admit that he is looking for a multi-year extension—but in hopes that it will keep him locked up as New York Jet for good.
There is no debate that Revis is the NFL's top cornerback in the game today, and it would most definitely be in New York's best interest to keep Revis happy, as it's not worth losing an elite cornerback over a contract dispute.
Whatever Revis is looking for, general manager Mike Tannenbaum needs to do the best he can to accommodate it, as his job could very well be on the line this upcoming season.
The 26-year-old Revis enters 2012 set to earn $4.5 million with a $3 million roster bonus and is then scheduled to earn up to $9 million until his contract expires in 2017.
For being the NFL's elite cornerback, some might argue that Revis is being a bit underpaid.
