Post 1: Street Life

Four horses have won the Belmont from the first slot since 1970, including Secretariat in 1973. The most recent winner was Touch Gold in 1997.

Post 2: Unstoppable

Only three horses have won from the No. 2 post since 1970. The last was Tabasco Cat in 1994.

Post 3: Union Rags

The third post has produced five winners in the past 31 years, including Affirmed in his Triple Crown victory back in 1978. Ruler on Ice won last year's race from the No. 3 spot.

Post 4: Atigun

Summer Bird won from slot four in the 2009 Belmont. Three others have won from that post in the last 25 years.

Post 5: Dullahan

Six horses have won from the fifth post since 1970, including Seattle Slew in 1977. However, the last horse to pull it off was Hansel in 1991. Still, Dullahan is I'll Have Another's most dangerous challenger.

Post 6: Ravelo's Boy

Only two horses have won from post six since 1984, which is one reason why Ravelo's Boy is facing 50-1 odds.

Post 7: Five Sixteen

Historically, post No. 7 is the best position to be in, with seven horses winning from there since 1979. Three of the last five Belmont champions started from this slot.

Post 8: Guyana Star Dweej

Four horses have won from post eight since 1976. The most recent was Jazil in 2006.

Post 9: Paynter

With Bodemeister sitting this one out, Bob Baffert's other top-notch horse will start in post nine. Three horses have won from the slot since 1998.

Post 10: Optimizer

Optimizer faces quite the challenge, as only Thunder Gulch (1995) has won from post 10 in the 143 runnings of the Belmont.

Post  11: I'll Have Another

No horse has won the Triple Crown since 1978, but two horses have won from post 11 since 1982. The most recent was Sarava in 2002.

Due to his late-surging style, I'll Have Another has a great shot to make history on Saturday.

Post 12: My Adonis

No horse has ever won from post 12. My Adonis won't be the first.
