Pacquiao vs. Bradley Undercard: Young Fighters to Watch Tonight
Before Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley go to war in the middle of that squared circle tonight, there will other battles fought in that very same ring.
These brawls will make up a spectacular undercard that should not be underestimated.
The key to any great undercard is the mixture of bruising fighters and speedy ring technicians and this pay-per-view is full of great talent.
All of the following boxers will bring their A-game on Saturday and show the world they are the real deal.
Jorge Arce
There is no fighter on the undercard that is more capable of stealing the show than WBO bantamweight champion Jorge Arce.
For those that don’t remember him, Arce is the veteran boxer that knocked out Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. on the undercard to the Pacquiao vs. Shane Mosley fight. With 60 wins (43 KOs), Arce still has enough power to shock the world.
While he is fighting a tough young fighter named Jesus Rojas that can give Arce everything he can handle, the experience and patience mixed with knockout power will have the veteran standing tall when the dust settles.
Mike Jones
While many still may not know who welterweight Mike Jones is, you will remember him forever when he knocks out veteran gatekeeper Randall Bailey and claims the vacant IBF world welterweight title.
Jones is a tough undefeated fighter (26-0, 19 KOs) that loves to throw with anyone and isn’t afraid of contact. While he can be methodical when needed, Jones best fights come when he is aggressive and powers through his opponent.
If Bailey takes this fight lightly or just gives Jones an edge on any kind, the Philadelphia native will look to make his mark on the boxing business by ending his opponent’s night early and stealing the show.
Guillermo Rigondeaux
While the WBA World Super Bantamweight title may be on the line, there is much more at stake for the undefeated Guillermo Rigondeaux.
After an illustrious career in Cuba that included two Olympic gold medals, Rigondeaux defected to the United States and started his professional career 9-0 with seven knockouts.
As tough as Philadelphia native Teon Kennedy is, Saturday night will be Rigondeaux’s chance to show the world that he is a major contender moving forward. He is one of the more intriguing rising stars in the sport because of such an extensive amateur career.
