Word Life Vol. 9: Ballin'! Behind Enemy Lines
WWE has been here, there, everywhere, trying to put the puzzle together for a much anticipated and hyped Wrestlemania 25. It's the 25th anniversary of course and that's a huge milestone.
So far in "Word Life" I've covered several superstars as the path to the grandest stage of them all rolls on.
Just in case you don't know the superstars in my cartoon article picture, I'm going to cover MVP and Mr. Kennedy. WWE may have left these two hung out to dry.

Fresh Backstage WWE Rumors 👊

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
I think they've forgotten about them, or put them on some sort of temporarily hold. WWE has their hands full working around the clock with the Orton/Legacy/McMahons, Jeff/Matt Hardy, and other stories that are out and about. They had to deal with the Christian Cage babblers by having him not return at the rumble.
If that wasn't a lot of work enough, they had to scramble and run back to the conference room to decide their next move since the Mickey Rourke versus Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania 25 deal fell through.
The pressure is on. I can feel it, they can feel it, and so can you guys. Now, Ric Flair is going to show up, and Austin's "last match" rumors are popping up...WWE looks like their going to crack under the pressure.
I would love to explain why Flair showing up and the Austin rumors are foreshadowing derailment, but this article is about the man from Green Bay, WI, and the Ballin'! superstar.
MVP has been on a major losing streak and just can't seem to catch a break. He's been losing for months, and the self-proclaimed "highest paid superstar in Smackdown history" looked as if he's lost his spirit.
Mr. Kennedy hasn't been making it any easier for MVP. Usually, he's promoting his movie "Behind Enemy Lines," but always finds time to pitch in his comments on the MVP situation and it doesn't help MVP one bit.
MVP didn't even have the spirit to argue back. He eventually invites Kennedy to his talk show, The MVP Lounge. MVP still looks depressed and Kennedy doesn't give him any encouraging words.
MVP talks about his glory days and compares them to the present, where he can't support and buy stuff for his family. WWE stage hands show up while MVP is speaking to Kennedy and begins to take his furniture.
MVP asks what's going on and one stage hand tells him that his furniture is being repossessed. MVP just looks like someone just died and Kennedy adds in some more comments that aren't helpful, and leaves the ring. Towards the Royal Rumble, Triple H's rumble spot was on the line against the Big Show.
However, it won't be Triple H who would be facing him, it will be MVP. Vickie was aware of his losing streak and put him against Big Show to ensure Big Show's victory and Triple H losing his rumble spot.
Long story short, Triple H outsmarted Vickie and helped MVP defeat Big Show, save his rumble spot, but most importantly end MVP's losing streak.
I haven't been up to date with the latest Smackdown so I don't know what exactly is going on between the two or not. I do know that WWE can make a great match out of these two. Whether they go one on one or tag they can do a good job. If they went one on one it can be a great opener for Wrestlemania 25.
MVP already proved to be a great worker when he had a fantastic match for the U.S. championship against Chris Benoit at Wrestlemania 23. Even though he lost, he held is own against the veteran, Chris Benoit.
Kennedy also showed he can work great matches as well, as he won The Money In The Bank match later that same night at Wrestlemania 23.
They both work good on the mic. They have some sort of camaraderie. I remember when they went against Undertaker and Kane. It was two good feuds. When they tagged together, they have superb chemistry.
WWE must not forget about these two. They're great superstars and excellent matches can stem from these two. As the road to Wrestlemania rolls on, lets have our fingers crossed.
