And Sometimes The Good Guys Lose
So, the worst thing about yesterday's game, besides my inherently rude brother-in-law reminding me that I didn't cover my spread, had to be the officiating.
All in all, and I'm not sure I would admit this to my mother, I believe the PittsburghSteelers should have won. I know they did, but the journey they took was not what led them to their destination.
James Harrison is a jerk. Let's clearly agree on that, right now. I've played football "in my time" and I've seen enough of the pro's as well to know that punching a player when the ball is kicked (that said player is no longer a remote threat) recalls a word called sad and absolutely unnecessary. I know that everything the cameras catch isn't called. I'm actually okay with that. But for eight to 10 seconds this jerk was punching his opponent like it was a deleted scene from Fight Club.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
So from then was my 100 dollars up for grabs. "Screw loyalties," I thought, "Let the underdogs win."
And they didn't.
Kurt Warner tried his hardest. No doubt about that. Big Ben Roethlisberger was magnificent at dodging some potentially stellar sacks. But the last unanswered call on that supposed fumble has me scratching my head to this day.
I could mention the controversial calls and be mocked for it. I could mention the lack of review on the very last play of the game which could have put the game into overtime... and be mocked for it.
And I could mention the fact that most objective Steeler fans will take this in stride as another notch in their achievements, but much like the infamous similar match of yesteryear, the rest of us know better.
So let it be known that Arizona Cardinals were put into a losing position more than the Steelers were handed a winning one.
