NBA Draft 2012: Baylor Star Quincy Miller Declares for Draft
The Baylor Bears have lost yet another star player to the NBA.
On Tuesday, Yahoo! Sports Marc Spears reported that Baylor freshman Quincy Miller will leave Waco and head to the NBA:

Miller is planning to hire Dwon Clifton as his agent.
It’s a tough pill to swallow, considering Miller had told the school he had planned to stay in college for another year back on April 10th (via USA Today).
The forward averaged 10.6 points and 4.9 rebounds as one of the best Big 12 freshmen of the past season. At 6’9’’ and 200 pounds, he has the physical tools to handle the rigors of the NBA.
He can create his own shot, has three-point range, and has an array of post moves that lead you to believe he will be a rather effective pro. Miller’s quickness with the ball in his hands is spectacular, as is his leaping ability. That means he is going to be very dangerous in one-on-one situations and in the open floor.
Defensively he’s hard to project because Baylor used primarily a zone defense, but there is no question he tends to lose his focus and energy at times on that end of the floor. That’s something that can certainly be fixed with the proper coaching.
Spears suggests that Miller could go as high as pick No. 15, but I think he may even go higher once he’s able to showcase his talents on some of the pre-draft events slated to begin in the next month.
As for Baylor, good luck getting back to the tournament after losing both Miller and Perry Jones III to the NBA.
