Darrelle Revis: New York Jets' Star Considers Holding out Again
New York Jets star cornerback Darrelle Revis looks like he is ready to hold out for a new contract once again, according to Kevin Armstrong of the New York Daily News.
“I just don’t know,” Revis said before being honored by the Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City. “I’m not saying I am going to hold out. I’m not saying I’m not.”
This situation has a chance to mirror the same occurrence that happened in 2010 when Revis was a holdout and missed 35 days of training camp that year.
He eventually came back and signed a four-year, $46 million contract, which was thought to be a temporary Band-Aid until the Jets could offer him more. Problem with that deal was Revis made around $33 million the first two years and is scheduled to make up to $7 million this season if he collects all of his bonuses.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It's no surprise Revis wants more as one of the elite cornerbacks in the NFL, thus making a holdout in 2012 a very real possibility.
Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum has made it perfectly clear the team wants Revis to remain with Gang Green as he is an important piece to their puzzle.
“Darrelle is under contract,” Tannenbaum said. “Darrelle is obviously a really important part of our team. We look forward to the 2012 season and hopefully accomplishing a lot of great things together.”
If there is anyone in the NFL who can hold out and get what he wants, it's Revis. As one of the premier cornerbacks in the NFL, Revis has made a living of silencing some of the best wide receivers in the game.
Without Revis, the Jets defense could be in further shambles than it already was last season.
