Cleveland Indians: Ubaldo Jimenez Gets by with a Little Help from His Friends
Cleveland Indians pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez managed to record his second win yesterday against the Oakland A's with the help of his teammates.
Jimenez had some trouble locating his pitches, giving up two runs on six hits, including a home run in the third inning.
With the mistakes that he made, and his lack of command, he was able to get the win due to strong run support and solid defense from the Tribe.

Jimenez managed to work through six innings. Setup man Vinnie Pestano and closer Chris Perez were able to prevent Oakland from taking advantage of what appeared to be a rally in the seventh inning. Perez recorded his fifth save of the season.
Jimenez didn't have a terrible game, but he wasn't throwing quality pitches.
Jimenez said, "I don't know. I didn't have anything. I mean, I knew it. They knew it. Even my dugout knew it. I was able to find a way to get out of there, but I didn't have anything."
Jimenez was lucky to have great offense, defense and a strong bullpen behind him that handed him the win. In three starts this year, he has a win-loss record of 2-0 with a 4.00 ERA.
Indians manager Manny Acta said, "I think the key for us today was our bullpen." In the end, the bullpen saved Jimenez.
Jimenez has some work to do to improve his pitch location and control. He was lucky his teammates saved the game for him, but he can't count on that each outing. He has to regain his command.
