WWE: Who Else Will Be Joining the John Laurinaitis Stable?
Last night on Raw, John Laurinaitis imposed his will again as WWE general manager in an effort to try and rid the company of John Cena.
As in past angles and programs with CM Punk, Laurinaitis, who now has control over both brands, has started to align himself with stars who not only can hurt Punk and Cena, but could possibly put them out of action.
Maybe this is the conspiracy finally coming to fruition (but I will leave that up to you to decide for yourselves) and the WWE has finally come up with an angle that works in terms of stability and making the transition to one leader and one goal. Yes, it also sounds a lot like "The Corporation" that was dispelled by a lot of readers last week.
But if Laurinaitis is dealing with his own conspiracy theory, pitting Mark Henry and Chris Jericho against CM Punk and Lord Tensai and Brock Lesnar against John Cena, then who else may come on board to help the demise of the company's two most popular stars?
Lord Tensai
1 of 5He took apart John Cena Monday night after playing patty cake with jobbers the past few weeks.
Finally, we saw the raw power of this heel against a worthy opponent.
The Tensai/Cena feud was something we all thought would happen at some point and now, if Cena is facing Tensai before he meets Brock Lesnar, it can only mean pain for the 11-time WWE champion.
Mark Henry
2 of 5The World's Strongest Man lost to CM Punk Monday night in a no disqualification match for the WWE Title.
It was the opening match of the night, which shows you how far Punk has fallen in the eyes of the corporation. It also means the company is still hitching its ride to Cena, who is in the main event of the night week after week.
Henry still has a very useful place in this company as an enforcer and punisher and could still be a title holder at some time.
Christian
3 of 5Christian will latch on somehow and become prominent again.
His work is still real good, his mic skills are top of the line and he can still deliver and sell for opponents.
My worry is injuries may have finally started to take its toll on him after 18 years and if the body breaks down, it may be a quick fall from the top of the mountain.
But for now, Christian is still a great option for Laurinaitis.
Kane
4 of 5The feud with Randy Orton is still pretty good and I like the fact the two are selling it well.
But at some point, without a title at stake and the fans wanting more from each of them, this could get old quickly.
Kane is still a truly destructive force in the WWE and his "evil" side plays well into what Laurinaitis wants to do with making the company his through control and mind games.
Wade Barrett
5 of 5When he comes back, who is there for him to face?
Sheamus may or may not have the World Title. Daniel Bryan may still be yelling "yes" for a while and the two may be caught up in a heated rivalry over the summer.
Barrett was hitting his stride when he got hurt. He is too talented not to be in the middle of wars of the ring and he knows a thing or two about stables, having been the leader of the Nexus.
