Rashad Evans and 4 Fighters Who Can Moonlight as Comedians
A fighter's performance inside the Octagon can often overshadow their lighter side at times.
The UFC features some of the most gifted athletes competing today, but there are those whose personalities become bigger than the sport and help establish them as marketable stars.
In this slideshow, we'll take a look at the fighters who could certainly make a successful living venturing into stand-up comedy and other forms of entertainment.
Aside from fighting, it is evident that these fighters are multi-talented.
Here are Rashad Evans and four fighters who could moonlight as comedians.
4. Jason 'Mayhem' Miller
1 of 4Known for his flamboyant personality and various hairstyles, Jason "Mayhem" Miller could definitely make a career in comedy.
The current UFC middleweight contender has the personality and charisma that could draw ratings and have him transcend into the limelight of television.
He already holds some credentials, hosting Bully Beatdown on MTV and serving as a coach opposite fellow UFC middleweight Michael Bisping on The Ultimate Fighter.
Miller's personality has made him one of the more popular fighters in the UFC, and there is no doubt he could mimic the same success outside of the Octagon as well.
3. Rashad Evans
2 of 4Rashad Evans has made a name for himself inside the Octagon as one of the best light heavyweights in the world, but more recently, he has become a fan favourite with fans for his humorous personality.
Evans' personality has shined through his explosive fighting style in some of his most memorable fights but "Suga" has been quite the impressionist. Evans had fans laughing at a UFC Q&A with an accurate portrayal of UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, as well as professional boxer Mike Tyson.
And in a recent promo for UFC 145, Evans is shown doing an impression of his mother, who has regularly become apart of his repertoire.
The former UFC light heavyweight champion has been a mainstay in the 205-pound division and he could also be a mainstay as one of the top-pound-for-pound comedians as well.
2. Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson
3 of 4Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has long been considered one of the greatest fighters in mixed martial arts history, and he could possibly make a claim of having been one of the funniest fighters to grace the Octagon as well.
Jackson has always been one of the more colorful personalities in the sport and has shown his comedic side in plenty of interviews throughout his career.
Whether it was his vignettes in PRIDE FC or his unforgettable coaching stint on TUF against Rashad Evans, Jackson has remained a popular figure with fans.
Jackson recently starred in The A-Team and has taken an interest in acting once he retires from the UFC.
While he might not be around the sport much longer, if his performance in The A-Team is any indication, "Rampage" could certainly make a successful transition into more comedy films.
1. Chael Sonnen
4 of 4Chael Sonnen will have no problem finding work once his UFC career is over. The UFC middleweight contender has never met a microphone that he can't talk into.
Who could forget his constant bickering toward Anderson Silva or his gestures and remarks toward the Brazilian as he prepared to challenge for the UFC middleweight title at UFC 147 in 2010.
Since then, Sonnen's stock has risen dramatically and has arguably become the best trash-talker in the sport today.
Certainly his insults and trash talk could become apart of his stand-up routine, and it would make one of the most talked-about comedians in recent memory, much like his rivalry with Silva.
Whether it's in the Octagon or on a stage, Sonnen's presence will always keep fans interested in him.
