WWE News: Daniel Bryan's Frustration Will Ruin His Career
Daniel Bryan might be the best wrestler in the world right now, but his WWE tenure has left a lot to be desired. An 18-second loss at WrestleMania 28 was just the tip of the iceberg, though his response to it is going to determine what happens to him next.
To his credit, Bryan hasn't come out and completely buried the company or creative team (Vince McMahon) for what happened. But he is airing out some of his frustrations in public, like in a recent interview with GQ magazine.
Here is what Bryan said when he was asked if he shared the anger of the fans who were outraged at his match only going 18 seconds:

"Of course I do. I was World Heavyweight Champion for four months. I wanted to go out there and steal the show. I was trained by Shawn Michaels, and that's what he's notorious for. I've always had the mindset that my wrestling is as good as or better than anybody out there. I was really looking forward to going out there and showing everybody what I can do on the biggest stage of them all, and then I just wasn't able to do it.
"
It's a harmless enough statement, and after the next question, Bryan says that he tried to make the best of the situation. But to McMahon, it could be another reason for him to bury his own employee yet again.
McMahon overreacts to everything that anyone says in an interview if he even thinks that someone is speaking out against his decision-making process.
In this case, Bryan has every right to be angry. Whether you like him or not, no match on the main card at WrestleMania should only go 18 seconds.
Sadly, the fact that the crowd has gotten behind Bryan and his public frustration with the match is not going to help matters.
WWE runs its business in a strange way. McMahon wants to push wrestlers, but only to a certain point. If they start to get more popular than he wants, he will pull the rug out from under them faster than you can say, "You're fired."
Bryan can keep his frustration about the WrestleMania match, but he should hold it inside and not talk about it publicly.
