Scott Solomon to Titans: Video Highlights, Analysis and Scouting Report
Scott Solomon, the pass rusher from Rice, isn't a heralded athlete—or a big name for that matter—but he's going to work his tail off.
At 6'3", 262 pounds, Solomon is a bit of 'tweener at defensive end/outside linebacker.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The defensive end finished his career at Rice in the top five of tackles for loss and sacks among active players.
Again, he's not a supremely gifted athlete and he only posted a 5-second 40-yard dash at the Combine, but he did put 34 reps on the bench press, jumped 35" in the vertical and 10'4" in the broad jump.
He has some explosion and is willing to work on playing as a 3-4 'backer.
His talents give him a shot at making a roster as a special teams player.
What Experts Are Saying
NFL Draft Scout highlights his motor and effort, but doubts his potential to get much better than he already is:
"Positives: High-effort, thickly built defender with good strength and the leverage to create a pile. Locates the ball quickly and pursues with passion, showing good lateral agility while extending the play to the sideline. Flashes an explosive burst and can surprise better overall athletes with his ability to get upfield. Has a closing burst when given a free lane. Has the frame to consider moving inside
Negatives: May be maxed out as a football player. Has the initial burst off the snap but only phone-booth quickness overall and doesn't make as many plays behind the line of scrimmage as his ability to penetrate would indicate. Short arms (30 7/8 inches) make it difficult to break free from blockers.
"
Rookie Impact
Solomon's impact is minimal defensively, but he could make a roster as a special teams player. He is one of those kids who will be hard to cut because of his effort, but there are those more physically gifted and laden with potential.
