Masters Results 2012: Competitors in Running to Catch Leaders at Augusta
Most of the attention is on the final pairing of Peter Hanson and Phil Mickelson, but there are still a number of golfers that can win the Masters Championship.
Louis Oosthuizen has taken the lead after coming in two strokes behind; it would take an impressive round by anyone else to leave Augusta with a green jacket.
However, with some good play and some luck, these men could be leaving the day as the winner of the Masters.
Bubba Watson
There are few competitors in the tournament that can hit the ball as far as Bubba Watson, and that alone should keep him in any race.
He is one of only three people in the tournament to finish under par in each of the first three rounds.
This consistency will help him possibly give a late push towards the top of the leaderboard.
Padraig Harrington
Harrington was one of the most underrated players in the world for a few years, winning three major championships from 2007-2008.
He has been less successful lately, but he has the experience necessary to stay mentally strong as the tournament comes to a close.
A good start could put pressure on some of the other golfers.
Lee Westwood
Westwood keeps getting close, but he still has not been able to secure his first major championship.
Coming into the tournament he was the No. 3 player in the world rankings, and his accuracy will keep him near the top of the leaderboard.
However, he needs to play more like he did on day one compared to the rest of the tournament.
