Ryback, Lord Tensai and 5 New Faces You Should Get to Know
Perhaps, the next great Internet Icon, Dean Ambrose's name, has been thrown around internally in WWE circles, and all reports thus far have been raving.
Ambrose cut his teeth in the Dragongate promotion as Jon Moxley, and his skill set has quickly translated to the WWE as the indy star has adapted a unique arsenal to the slower-paced WWE style.
With glowing reviews of his work alongside fellow FCW standout/Messageboard Messiah Seth Rollins, Ambrose could be on the fast track to the top possibly as a deranged heel.
Lord Tensai
1 of 5Formerly known as Prince Albert then A-Train, this talented big man has returned to the WWE with more potential despite being older as the only thing about him more advanced than his age is his in-ring work.
A-Train's previous run in the WWE was a forgettable one with flashes of brilliance, but upon being released from the promotion, the monster heel traveled to Japan where his career was reinvigorated alongside Karl Anderson as the Giant Bernard.
The critically acclaimed tag team went on to dominate the tag team ranks in Japan while putting on great matches as the artist formerly known as A-Train all but perfected the big-man style.
Now back in the WWE as Lord Tensai for one last run, Tensai has all the right tools to draw some significant money if the machine gets behind him as an unstoppable monster with a KO finish.
Ryback
2 of 5Formerly known as Skip Sheffield, the long-awaited return of this former Nexus member finally came to be this past Friday on SmackDown.
Ryback is being booked in a simple, yet effective, manner as a physically intense, physically imposing wrecking machine.
With the aforementioned debut of Lord Tensai on Raw, it certainly helps that Ryback will be kept on SmackDown as a babyface so fans aren't burnt out on their similar gimmicks too quickly.
Damien Sandow
3 of 5Damien Sandow's in-ring work in FCW is standard, and pretty unspectacular, however, his character has the potential to be great.
Sandow debuted a very sanctimonious promo on SmackDown where he vowed to save the WWE Universe from what he feels is questionable entertainment.
Sandow's gimmick shows traces of a throwback heel from the 80s fully equipped with a robe and towel.
Self-righteous heels are certainly not a new flavor in WWE, so Sandow will need to add wrinkles to this character to stand out more such as the "lights [off]...Spotlight, please!" gimmick he used in FCW during his entrance.
Dean Ambrose
4 of 5Perhaps, the next great Internet Icon, Dean Ambrose's name, has been thrown around internally in WWE circles, and all reports thus far have been raving.
Seth Rollins
5 of 5You may know him as Tyler Black in ROH, but Seth Rollins is exactly what the WWE needs right now as a babyface whose in-ring style is easy on the eyes.
The SmackDown roster is in desperate need of a babyface, and a possible feud with surging heel Daniel Bryan will be enough to make online dirtsheet servers crash.
Rollins has already begun to travel with the SmackDown roster and has put on strong matches at live events with the likes of Tyson Kidd.
After doing everything right in FCW, Rollins seems ready to be called up to the main roster once creative has a character in place for him.
