Masters 2012: Tiger Woods Will Prove He's Back for Good
It's all well and good that Tiger Woods won the Arnold Palmer Invitational, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's back. That said, the 2012 Masters will be the perfect time for Tiger to prove he's finally back for good.
Most golfers win a tournament during the year. Others can manage to win two in a single season.
But Woods has never been a one-and-done type of golfer. During his dominating tenure in golf, Woods has won multiple tournaments—sometimes majors—each year he's been healthy.
Besides, the Arnold Palmer Invitational doesn't take as much skill and doesn't carry as much pressure as a major, especially the Masters.
If Woods wants to prove he's back, he needs to win the Masters and do it in Tiger fashion.
What's Tiger fashion?
Getting off to a good start will be vital to Woods' success and a sign of things to come.
The old Tiger would be shooting in the 60's consistently during the four-day major and take the lead going into Sunday.
That isn't enough in itself, however.
Woods will not only have to keep that lead throughout Sunday, but build on it as well. Sunday has always been Tiger-time and to truly establish his return to golf, Woods must once again dominate on Sunday.
The gorilla has been partially lifted off his back thanks to his first win in two-and-a-half years. The pressure to get just one is gone and now Tiger has a winning confidence back that he hasn't had in quite some time.
Put the golf world on notice: Tiger Woods is almost all the way back and he'll further prove that with his dominance and victory at the Masters.
