Michael Owen Believes He Could Be Key for Manchester United in EPL Title Run-in
Manchester United striker Michael Owen claims he can help fire the Red Devils to Premier League title glory.
Owen, 32, is returning to full fitness from a thigh injury he suffered in Champions League action back in November, and believes his return could not be any timelier for the red half of Manchester.
The former Liverpool star spoke to the The Sun about the current state of affairs with Sir Alex and Co.:

"Let's hope he [Sir Alex Ferguson] is right. I know that if he's in need of a goal and he puts me on, then I'll certainly be hoping and thinking that I could do what he's said.
It's been a tough few months, seeing the lads running out one way to the pitches and me walking another to the gym.
The end is nearly in sight. I've just started training again so hopefully in a few weeks I'll be back and hopefully available for selection.

It remains to be seen what role (if any) the former England international—who is currently behind Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck, Javier Hernandez and Dimitar Berbatov in the striking pecking order at Old Trafford—will play during the business end of the season.
The striker made the switch to Manchester United in the summer of 2009 on a free transfer. He has so far failed to replicate his peak form for Liverpool in the late 90s and early 2000s, as injuries have decimated the latter stages of his career.
Owen has only made four appearances this season, scoring three times. The former Ballon d'Or winnier recently stated he believes he has a good two to three years left in him, and intimated he would like to continue his stay with Manchester United.
