Wrestlemania 28 Predictions: John Cena and the Rock's Feud Must End in Miami
Try as hard as you want, but you will not be able to come up with a storyline that has fizzled more than the one between The Rock and John Cena. The time that these two have spent feuding on WWE television (as opposed to Twitter) has been repetitive, boring, and needs to end on Sunday.
Let me elaborate on how sick I am of these two, specifically The Rock (we'll get to that a little later). I am actually hoping that this match fails. I want it to resemble the match that we saw between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg at WrestleMania XX.

But why would I want to spend money to watch a match fail?
That's simple, really. A bad match is about 10-30 minutes out of my life. These two will probably get much closer to 30, but I am okay with that. It would be annoying to see such a hyped match fail, but a good contest between the two will quite possibly give us something much worse—a rematch.
Of course, a rematch isn't just one more 10-30 minute bout. No, it's weeks more of promos, vignettes, Twitter battles, and The Rock coming up with some new trending catchphrase.
The problem with this feud is The Rock, no matter how much his fans would want you to believe otherwise. He has not been around often enough before the last month, and has said the same things about John Cena that we heard when The Rock was announced as the Guest Host for WrestleMania XXVII more than a year ago.
Yes, kids like him more than adults do, he dresses in bright colors, and relies a lot on catchphrases (as if "Do you smell what the Rock is Cookin'?" isn't a catchphrase).
The fact of the matter is that we've heard all this from The Rock for more than a year. He has had nothing original to say about Cena since that day where he made his long-awaited debut.
You could make a case that Cena has had the same issues, but he's at least had smaller battles working in his favor.
This feud is already too stale for a rematch. I never thought I would say this about either of these two stars, but they don't have the firepower to drag this out any longer.
If you're looking for a prediction, I am going with Cena to win cleanly. I don't care if the event is in The Rock's hometown of Miami or if he's one of the best stars in the business, the fact of the matter is that he is a part-time wrestler going up against the promotion's biggest draw. In no way would it make sense to have The Rock go over at the biggest event of the year in the most-hyped match ever.
I care a lot more about this feud ending than I do about who wins. It wouldn't make sense for Cena to lose, but he is a big enough star to absorb it if it happens.
