Tiger Woods: Healthy Woods Proves He Is Still World's Most Talented Golfer
Tiger Woods is back to finishing tournaments the way he is used to: winning.
Holding a four-stroke lead at 13 under with four holes remaining in his final round at the 2012 Arnold Palmer Invitational, Woods is starting to show glimpses of his old, "No. 1 golfer in the world" self.
For the first time since the off-the-course scandal that temporarily tarnished his career, Woods has been able to find his swing and deliver when it counts.
If Tiger is able to hold the lead at the Invitational, it will be the second time this season in five official events that Woods finishes in the top two.
The other was at the Honda Classic in early March, where Woods would finish second at 10 under.
Despite the struggles that golf fans claim Woods has undergone as of late, he has finished in the top six at the Masters every year since 2008. Given this is one of the better tournaments Woods has played at the Invitational, this could well be the year Woods comes out on top.
On the golf course this season, the biggest struggle for Woods has been his putting, as well as his driving accuracy. In this tourney, Woods has upped his driving accuracy to 69.2 percent and has boasted strong putting throughout.
Woods has recorded just five bogeys through nearly four rounds, as well as a solid 20 birdies in the process.
If Woods can hold off the competition and take home a title at this Invitational, there is no question that he's a talent that can continue his winning ways at the Masters. A healthy Woods is once again proving that with the proper adjustments to his game, he is a player that will always push for championships.
