The Morning Tailgate
Today’s ceremonial bratwurst goes to Oklahoma’s Sam Bradford. Not because of the great season he had individually or for getting his team to the national title game in his sophomore season...We appreciate the straight up rejection of the Detroit Lions and our hometown St. Louis Rams.
By returning to school, Bradford ensures he won’t get kidnapped to an organization that completely sucks and for that, we raise our early-morning glasses. It takes a big man to reject millions of dollars for the sake of personal pride and job security.
As far as we’re concerned, early morning bratwursts are a key part of this Native American’s breakfast.
