Auto Club 400 2012: Start Time, Lineup, TV Schedule and More
NASCAR's Sprint Cup season rolls on this weekend in Fontana, Calif., as the Auto Club 400 will take place at Auto Club Speedway. Although there is still tons of time in the season, there have been plenty of surprising results thus far, so it will be interesting to see if that trend continues.
Top drivers like Carl Edwards, Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch and Kurt Busch sit well outside the top 12 currently while the likes of Martin Truex Jr., Joey Logano and Paul Menard are in chase position. With that said, Fontana is a great place for some of the elites to get back on track.
Here is everything you need to know with respect to when and where you can catch the Auto Club 400—as well as contenders to look out for in Sunday's race.

Drivers to Watch
Jimmie Johnson
No driver has ever been more successful than Jimmie Johnson at Fontana, but that's to be expected as it serves as his home track. Old "Five Time" himself has won five times in California and will look to make it six on Sunday. Johnson has bounced back from a rough Daytona 500 with a few good results in a row and will be a major player on Sunday.
Matt Kenseth
Not only does Matt Kenseth have a good history at Fontana with three career victories, but the Roush Fenway driver has been excellent this season. He currently sits third in the standings after winning the Daytona 500 and finishing second last week at Bristol. That combination of a solid track record and great results as of late makes Kenseth a contender to take the checkered flag.
Jeff Gordon
It would be pretty fair to say that no driver has struggled more this season than Jeff Gordon. He is just 23rd in the standings and has finished 35th or worse in two of the season's four races thus far. Fontana should be a welcome sight, however, as Gordon has won there on three occasions. He hasn't entered victory lane since 2004 at this track, though, so he'll need to channel some of that old magic.
