March Madness 2012 Bracket: Inconsistent Teams Destined to Fall
If you're talented enough, you can still find yourself in the Sweet 16 despite being inconsistent.
But, before long, a team that is inherently inconsistent will fall before reaching the championship game, and sometimes said team will fall hard.
Every team in the Sweet 16 this year should be proud of itself. But this is where the men separate themselves from the boys.

UConn's STACKED Schedule ☠️

Report: Biggest Spenders in Men's CBB 🤑
Here are three up-and-down teams I see ultimately falling in the 2012 NCAA tournament.
Kansas (No. 2 Seed, Midwest Region)
This is a bit harsh, but I do believe the Jayhawks, as good as they are, are prone to some inconsistency.
The Jayhawks lost to Davidson and Iowa State during the regular season, and when it really mattered against another inconsistent team in Baylor, they fell in the Big 12 tournament.
I'm being a little picky, but point guard Tyshawn Taylor is prone to turning the ball over, and there have been a few instances in which he's become unraveled (particularly against Missouri in early February).
There's also the fact that Kansas was almost upset by Purdue in the Round of 32, and Taylor struggled in that game, going 4-of-11 from the field.
I see Kansas falling to North Carolina in the Elite Eight.
Baylor (No. 3 Seed, South Region)
The Baylor Bears, led by a dynamic frontcourt, are extremely athletic and absolutely attack the rim. In that regard, they can be a very dangerous team, as they showed against Kansas in the Big 12 tournament.
But they are also prone to losing focus and defensive lapses, and they should honestly be an even better rebounding team than they are.
Baylor should beat Xavier in the Sweet 16, but the Bears won't know what hit them when they face Kentucky in the Elite Eight.
Cincinnati (No. 6 Seed, East Region)
The reality is, I love Cincinnati's style of play. The Bearcats are aggressive, physical and have a legit threat in big-man Yancy Gates.
But I can't ignore the fact that the Bearcats are not a very good shooting team and have been known to stink it up from the field. They are also horrible from the free-throw line, shooting 64 percent for the season.
You add in the fact that the Bearcats lost to Presbyterian and Rutgers during the regular season, and there's certainly room for concern there.
I see Cincinnati losing to Ohio State in the Sweet 16. Then again, they could all of a sudden start knocking down shots left and right like they did against Syracuse in the Big East tournament.
