Why Triple H Must Lose at WrestleMania 28
It's Monday night, folks. Time for another exciting episode of RAW in just a little while.
Tonight's episode will hail from Philadelphia, Pa. and features a segment with Triple H, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker in the ring at the same time.
It should make for some interesting television moments, since this match between The Game and The Phenom is one of the most anticipated of the entire WrestleMania card.
St-Patrick's Day just passed and everyone here in Montreal was lucky enough to have warm, sunny weather and enjoy their drinks on terraces all over town.
For Triple H, however, the luck of the Irish has run out -- it's time to face reality and accept that on April 1, he will be annihilated.
The Cerebral Assassin cannot possibly bring an end to the legendary Streak. Such foolishness should be put to rest.
Most Important Reason of All
1 of 4The Streak is a money-making, legendary creation of WWE that cannot end for the love of God and all that is holy and pure in this world.
It is a landmark, the reason many fans of the WWE Universe watch this spectacular event. It is the one good thing left that hasn't been spoiled by the changing times and nobody is worthy enough to stop it.
Triple H is a fine, legendary character who has accomplished so much in his decades-long career.
He is already Hall of Fame-bound, and there should be some more title reigns in his path if he continues after WrestleMania, but ending The Undertaker's career would be a huge mistake.
Forget the mistake—it's impossible, period!
Sure, all good things must come to an end. Let that apply to Taker's career once he decides he's had enough.
The whole career can end in style as a package—streak, titles acquired, opponents faced, etc.
Twenty years from now, people should know The Undertaker as the superstar who has never been defeated at WrestleMania. Nothing less.
Triple H Has Other Things to Do
2 of 4This match is a personal victory for Triple H even after he loses. He is the first man to battle The Undertaker three times at WrestleMania -- an amazing feat on its own.
A few weeks ago, The Game officially re-signed with the company for another four years of competition. Despite his active duties as Vince McMahon's second-in-command, Hunter is still a draw in the ring and fans want to see him in action.
The early 40s aren't old at all and there are years of career left in this destroyer, provided there are no serious injuries.
This match at WrestleMania XXVIII must serve to humble the King of Kings and send him in another direction, like putting over the next batch of superstars, namely The Miz and Cody Rhodes.
It will close the chapter once and for all, as both members of DX could not stop the power of the dark side.
Other accolades must be acquired. There is surely another WWE or world heavyweight championship in his career. This should be done to distance himself from John Cena's 12 title reigns, but just one or two short from Ric Flair (no one should ever pass 16, it's a sin to even consider it).
Another villainous turn could be very profitable for the company, as not many do it as well as Triple H. He could side with another top "heel" and rule the universe with a tight fist until the company can find who just is that next mega-star.
It Is the End of an Era Indeed
3 of 4The Rock, Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels, Kane, The Undertaker and Triple H on the same card at WrestleMania? A one-time only affair.
WWE is a successful company who had created some of the best performers this business has ever seen. All those mentioned above have left their mark and have been reunited once more in order to give everyone the best show on Earth, but also to somehow pass the torch to the younger talent ready for their part to play.
If Triple H says it will be the end of an era, it's because it will be. The last remnants of the Attitude days of WWE have come to pass and it will be up to the new guys to impress everyone.
John Cena, Randy Orton, CM Punk, The Miz, Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, Cody Rhodes and Beth Phoenix -- the future of this business, all fine and accomplished performers.
The Game taking down The Undertaker wouldn't advance things further, it would set things back.
The magic would be lost forever, fans would turn away forever and The Phenom's legacy would be tarnished beyond repair.
For what in the end?
So that Triple H can prove to those who hate him that he is indeed a power-hungry man who wants all the merits for himself?
His career would suffer just as much as Taker's.
It is a price too high to pay, even for the 13-time former World Champion.
The Suit Shall Take Control
4 of 4It's no secret by now that Triple H is on his way to becoming, alongside wife Stephanie, the heir of all that is WWE—unless Shane McMahon returns(storyline idea here).
The programming is not always exciting and if ratings are any indication, then Hunter should rush in and take over now. Fresh blood is needed in this company, with new ideas and a more aggressive, daredevil attitude. Those that risk nothing acquire nothing.
As the years go by, it is certain Hunter will leave the ring gear behind and don a more respectable set of clothes.
2012 is going to be a very exciting year for Triple H , as he is surely going to be a little more active than before. Watch him get involved in various programs with fast-rising stars or some already high on the ladder.
Feuding with Punk over the WWE championship or with Miz are things the WWE Universe has not seen yet and ripe with potential. Losing to Undertaker at WrestleMania is not a setback, but a step in the right direction.
On the grand scale of things, The Game will be remembered for so many things: numerous title reigns, legendary matches, fighting the best performers of the moment and being one of the few living men to ever take The Phenom to the brink of annihilation.
Not a bad resume when you think about it.
