NFL Offseason Wish Lists for Every AFC North Team

Andrea HangstMar 15, 2012

The NFL doesn’t run on wishes, but that doesn’t mean teams can’t dream when it comes to the offseason. In the AFC North, the four teams’ wishes are pretty easy to guess.

The Baltimore Ravens wish that no other teams will poach their free agents before they have time to sign them to new deals, most importantly cornerback Lardarius Webb.

They also would like to have enough money to give a new, long-term deal to star running back Ray Rice and extend quarterback Joe Flacco’s contract.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are like the rest of us in the world, wishing for more money. More cap space means they don’t have to worry about wide receiver Mike Wallace being snatched out from under them in free agency.

In Cincinnati, the team is looking for a new starting running back—one that is both fast and strong, capable in short yardage as well as in the passing game. Another receiver to complement A.J. Green is also on their wish list.

The Cleveland Browns have the longest list of wants of any team in the division, needing—if not a new starting quarterback—wide receivers for Colt McCoy, a right tackle to replace the recently-released Tony Pashos, and a capable, non-temperamental running back who can make everyone forget about Peyton Hillis.

But when it comes to the biggest desire for all four AFC North teams, that would be Georgia offensive guard Cordy Glenn.

He’s one of the top offensive linemen in this year's draft, and has been linked to every team in the division by a number of draft experts. Glenn fits an immediate need on the line for all four squads, and if there were four of him, believe me, they’d each have one.
