WWE: Will Shawn Michaels Get Physically Involved in Triple H vs. Undertaker?
Since returning to WWE television in the last few weeks, Shawn Michaels has given some of the best interviews of his career.
Though as much of a welcome surprise as it was, it wasn't entirely unexpected.
"The Heartbreak Kid" is widely considered by his peers to be the best professional wrestler in history.

Such an esteemed designation means that there hasn't been anybody else, past or present, that has been able to entertain in the ring and on the microphone to the degree HBK has.
While his in-ring days are over for now, the retired Michaels has been stealing the show with his perfect-pitched promos aimed at Triple H and The Undertaker on Raw.
The fiery passion he has demonstrated, the impeccable delivery and his nuanced facial expressions are qualities we just don't see in WWE superstars anymore.
Being the rarest of breeds, Michaels is single-handedly the reason why a healthy portion of the audience may be looking forward to Triple vs. Undertaker at WrestleMania 28 over the highly publicized John Cena-Rock clash.
Members of the WWE Universe will be tuning into WrestleMania to not only witness "The Game" and "Phenom" lock horns inside the Hell in a Cell, but to see Michaels back on the grandest stage too.
Absent from last year's Atlanta festivities, his recent involvement in the Triple H-Undertaker feud as both a facilitator and instigator has led to him becoming the special guest referee in Miami.
In some ways, it's bittersweet to see "The Showstopper" in the mix.
On one hand, his participation will lend itself to almost a quasi triple-threat affair, which, in some ways, is a just culmination dating back to WrestleMania 25.
However, others may lament what could've been when they watch the San Antonio native, who can still very much go in the ring, resign himself to the background when he should be front and center.
There are other ways, though, Michaels can have a substantive role at WrestleMania without wrestling.
The most obvious compromise is to have him get physically involved during the Triple H vs. Undertaker bout.
Not only would it make sense given his rich history with the competitors, but it would play into both his teased alliance with Triple H and his "power" to end Undertaker's vaunted streak at a moment's notice.
Most importantly, Michaels would add several elements of suspense to the outcome of an affair that is, when stripped of its window dressing, a foregone conclusion.
Specifically, the best way to involve Michaels in the proceedings would be for him to give "superkicks" to both men as a result of provocation during different points of the match.
The sudden instances of "Sweet Chin Music" could even be accidental (i.e., in one case, it could be meant for Undertaker but connect with Triple H) or a manifestation of HBK's burgeoning frustration toward Triple H and Undertaker.
Naturally, following each spur-of-the-moment "superkick," Michaels would sell feelings of remorse and bewilderment for his actions. The best part, however, would be his hesitation to count the pinfall each time, but doing so anyway.
Of course, Triple H and Undertaker would kick out after falling victim to Michaels' boot at varying intervals of the match.
Consequently, Michaels would breathe out an exaggerated sigh of relief after each faux pas, knowing his impulsiveness had no bearing on the victor of the contest.
Not to mention, the audience, live and at home, would be red-faced from the undulating suspense, no doubt falling for the plausible near-finishes in both cases.
In the end, once all the smoke clears, Undertaker will likely add to his streak, making it an impressive 20-0. And while he'll ultimately reign triumphant without any dubiousness, fans will consider the impossible—the end of the streak—on more than one occasion.
After all, the Hell in a Cell war has all the ingredients, none more instrumental than Michaels, to weave a roller coaster of a story for the ages.
