Printable NCAA Bracket 2012: Bets in Round of 64 Sure to Succeed

Tim KeeneyMar 14, 2012

The NCAA Tournament is finally here, and, besides the Super Bowl, the first Thursday and Friday serve as one of the best betting days of the year.

The best thing is that you can bet all day and there isn't a lack of games to choose from. Whether you want to root for the No. 16 seed to cover the spread or for that 8-9 matchup to hit the "over," the opportunities are endless.

Here's a complete printable bracket. Whether you use it to fill out a bracket or to record your big bets is up to you, but here's a look at some smart picks that will make you rich.

Montana (+9) vs Wisconsin

Holy moly, talk about your lock of the day.

First of all, Wisconsin plays at an absolute snail's pace, and Montana doesn't mind that, either. This game is likely to land in the 50s or 60s, so the odds of either team winning by double-digits are fairly small to begin with.

Second, Montana has a good shot to flat-out beat the Badgers. Wisconsin can be incredibly inconsistent on offense, especially when point guard Jordan Taylor struggles. Well, the Grizzlies have Will Cherry, who is one of the best defensive guards in the country and will really annoy Taylor.

Montana enters this game with a lot of momentum and I actually have them pulling the upset. Giving them nine points makes for a very solid bet.

Colorado (+5) vs UNLV

The Runnin' Rebels are the more talented team, but they haven't been playing like it.

In their last 10 games, UNLV is 5-5. Four of those wins have come at home against teams with a combined 66-55 record (bottom three teams in the MWC). The other win came against San Diego State, also at home.

The losses, however, have all been on the road against tournament teams. That doesn't speak well to their ability to play away from home against good opponents.

Colorado, on the other hand, played in the Pac-12, sure, but them come in with tons of momentum.

Andre Roberson is one of the best-kept secrets in the country and Carlon Brown, who looks like the next James Harden, is playing his best basketball.

Colorado should win this one. If they don't, they'll at least keep it under five.

Florida (-3.5) vs Virginia

This will be a battle of tempo. The Cavaliers like to slow the game down while the Gators want to get out and run and shoot as many three-pointers as possible.

If the game goes Virginia's way, it will be by three or four. If it goes Florida's way, the Gators will win by 20.

Virginia has been playing really poorly as of late, so I'm much more inclined to put my faith in Florida. Take the Gators in a blowout.
