Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Well I'll be darned, I wasn't the only one.
Simply put, this may have been the biggest upset in the NFL in the a long time.
Arizona was given no chance, they were without one of their big play receivers on offense in Anquan Boldin, and they were playing a team that hadn't lost at home all year.
Only a miracle could save a team facing those odds.
Yet someone they pulled it off.
By setting the tone early that they were going to eliminate the big play, the Cardinals forced Jake Delhomme out of his comfort zone and led him to throw 5 interceptions.
The offense took over from there, scoring 25 points off turnovers in capping off a 33-13 victory hardly anyone saw coming.
Now, a team so synonymous with losing, has finally shed its image—at least for a little while, and has earned the right to play for a chance to go to the Super Bowl.
To tell you the truth, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if they did it.
But what the three other games? Sit tight, the bullet points have you covered.
- Say what you want about Joe Flacco, but you got to admit the kid made some great throws under pressure especially late in the game.
- Another thing to admire about the Ravens play was the sheer guts shown by safety Jim Leonhard who forced a fumble that averted a Titan touchdown drive and suffered a mild concussion on the play.
- There's one reason why Matt Stover has been in the league for 19 years, he's clutch. He proved it again on Saturday.
- There's no truth to the rumor that both Rich Gannon and Tony Eason sent thank you letters to Jake Delhomme for making the fans forget about how bad their playoff performances were compared to his.
- As little as a month ago, Cardinals cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was a complete nobody. After 6 interceptions in 9 games, he's probably the most dangerous defensive player in the NFL at the present time.
- Who would have thought the Giants offense would take such a nosedive after the great kickoff return to start the game by Armand Bradshaw?
- A key play in the game was when the Eagles were able to stop Giant Fred Robbins on his way to the end zone following a pick.
- There's no truth to the rumor that when Donovan McNabb picked up the Giants sideline phone he was actually trying to book a hotel room in Tampa.
- Memo to Tom Coughlin: General logic says that when you have a 44-year-old kicker who's short on leg strength, and a young kicker on the sidelines who can make a long field goal, you go with the younger guy. Maybe you should have thought about that before you sent John Carney to try a long field goal, which he predictably came up short on.
- What a great throw by Phillip Rivers to Vincent Jackson for a touchdown on the Chargers first drive. Its too bad Santonio Holmes's punt return TD killed any momentum the Chargers had.
- Another momentum killer for the Chargers was the prolonged drive to open the second half in which Ben Roethlisberger was able to convert on third down three times and ate up half the clock in the process.
- It was safe to turn off the TV once Larry Foote intercepted Rivers on San Diego's first drive in the second half.
- And so, we have the battle of the AFC North powerhouses and the battle of the birds in the NFC for the right to go to Tampa. See you next week with all the analysis and be sure to tell me what you think the Super Bowl XLI match-up will be in this week's poll question.
