March Madness 2012 Bracket: When Each No. 1 Seed Will Bow Out
None of the No. 1 seeds are going to win the national championship this year. So, it's time to take a look at just how wrong the people making the seedings were.
Looking at your printable bracket, you'll see that the four No. 1 seeds are Kentucky, Michigan State, Syracuse and North Carolina. Let's see when all of their NCAA tourney dreams will end.

UConn's STACKED Schedule ☠️

Report: Biggest Spenders in Men's CBB 🤑
The Wildcats may enter this tournament as the overall No. 1 seed, but a team of freshmen is not going to make this kind of a run in the NCAA tourney. I see too many parallels between this team and the one the Wildcats had two years ago.
UK is the most talented team in the country with as much NBA talent as anyone, but rely too much on underclassmen. That is just not going to work against a stream of teams that have been together for two to three years.
In crunch time, I would take a slightly less talented junior or senior any day over a super freshman.
Elimination: Final Four, Missouri
Michigan State
The way that this team stacks up against some of the country's elite teams worries me, and that will stop Tom Izzo from getting his Spartans back to the Final Four.
Michigan State's greatest problem is that if either Draymond Green or Keith Appling struggle at all, it doesn't have the ideal scorers to step up and fill that gap.
This isn't to say that the Spartans will be a quick exit, but when they get into the rounds when elite programs are lined up against them on a consistent basis, Michigan State will eventually fall short.
Elimination: Elite Eight, Missouri
Syracuse
For two reasons, this will be the first top seed to leave the Dance.
One is that they just haven't survived a tremendous in-season grind. The Big East is vastly overrated, so achievements within the conference are overblown. That's going to show come tournament time.
The other thing lacking on the Orange is a truly elite scorer. When going through a slump, Syracuse does not have that go-to guy to weather the storm. That will keep Syracuse from advancing too deep this year.
Elimination: Sweet 16, Vanderbilt
North Carolina
The Tar Heels are good, just not quite that good. Ultimately, I don't trust the backcourt enough to think that they will beat a team like Missouri that has five double-digit scorers.
The other thing that really concerns me about the Tar Heels is the injury to John Henson. He was sorely missed in the ACC tournament, as Henson is a strong player on both ends of the floor.
Ultimately, we'll give UNC the benefit of the doubt and say that Henson will be ready. The Tar Heels will outlast any other No. 1 seed, but like Kentucky and Michigan State, will fall to the eventual champions.
