Washington, Pac-12
The Pac-12 conference was quite weak this season, which certainly didn't help Washington's NCAA tournament resume.
The Huskies won the regular season conference title, but lost in the first round of the Pac-12 conference tournament to Oregon State despite being the No. 1 seed.
All the Huskies needed to do was win a few games in the conference tournament and they would have likely secured a berth in March Madness.
With their fantastic rebounding and solid offense, Washington would have been a tough team to beat in the NCAA tournament, but they will have to settle for the NIT this year.
Seton Hall, Big East
By playing their normal Big East schedule, Seton Hall played a ton of top teams in the nation's most challenging conference.
With quality wins against ranked teams such as Connecticut and Georgetown, the Pirates' resume was better than a few of the teams who made the NCAA tournament.
Seton Hall needed to make a deep run in the Big East tournament to earn a berth in March Madness, but only managed to make the second round before being defeated by Louisville.
Mississippi State, SEC
The SEC was not an amazing conference this season but there were a number of schools deserving of a tournament bid.
The Bulldogs started out the season 12-1 with wins against ranked teams such as Arizona and Texas A&M. However, they then started to struggle and likely lost a chance for an NCAA berth with a five-game losing streak in February.
Mississippi State needed to win a few games in the SEC tournament but were beaten in the first round by a mediocre Georgia team.
