Carl Pavano’s Feelings Were Hurt in New York
Boo hoo. Carl Pavano’s feelings are hurt. I don’t see how Pavano can come out and say that. Does he expect a standing ovation when he returns to the club after taking a huge contract and failing to perform? I mean, the guy was constantly injured, and that’s what he gets for it.
He said, “I failed for four years in New York,” and hinted that he could have used more support from the Yankees. Carl also said, “When you’re down, you expect your organization to pick you up, not kick you when you’re down. I’ve had to pick myself up quite a few times the last four years.”

I find it hilarious.
Pavano deserved what he got, and you can’t expect to get sympathy from the fans. It’s hard for the organization to constantly stand up and defend the guy, especially when he gets injured every other day. When you don’t succeed in NY...You should know that the fans will let you hear it. I’m just glad he is gone now.
"Overall, New York is “a great place to play,” Pavano said. “There’s no reason for me to focus on what happened to me, because that’s all behind me. I’m not holding any grudges. You just keep moving forward.”
“To make it eight, 10, 12 years in the big leagues, you’ve got to be a pretty motivated person,” he said. “I’ve been through surgeries I wasn’t sure I’d come back from. I’ve won a World Series, I’ve been to the All-Star Game. I’ve been at the top of the game and the bottom of the barrel. … I don’t think I could be any more motivated than I am right now.”
