SEC Tournament 2012 Bracket: Biggest Reasons Kentucky Will Win SEC Title
The SEC tournament will get underway on Thursday, but it's really already over. The Kentucky Wildcats owned the SEC in the regular season, and they will own the SEC again in the conference tournament.
Notice that I didn't say "could" or even "should." I said "will." There's not a doubt in my mind that Kentucky is the best team in the conference.
I could go on and on about all the different reasons Kentucky is so much better than the rest of the field, but it's all pretty simple. Put all together, exactly why Kentucky is going to win the SEC title boils down to three key realities.

Let's count 'em down.
Unparalleled Talent
You don't need me to tell you that John Calipari is an ace recruiter. All you have to do is take a look at the toys he gets to play with in a given game.
Calipari has six different players who are capable of scoring double-digit points in a given game. Anthony Davis is the most dominant big man in the country, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is a future lottery pick, Doron Lamb is always steady and occasionally a difference-maker, Terrence Jones can be unstoppable on a good night and Darius Miller and Marquis Teague can both step in and score points and facilitate the offense.
It's not all about what these guys can do on offense, though. Combined, Kentucky's studs form one of the best defensive teams in the country. Per TeamRankings.com, the Wildcats ranked 10th in opponents' points per game, and first in opponents' shooting percentage.
The point is debatable, but the Wildcats definitely loom large in the conversation of which team in the country has the most talented roster. One thing that's for sure is that nobody in the SEC even comes close.
Anthony Davis Is a Beast
No player made a bigger impact this season than Anthony Davis. He's a finalist for the Wooden Award, and he stands a very good chance of winning it.
Davis can do it all. He'll score double-digit points and he'll pull down double-digit rebounds. He recorded plenty of double-doubles during the regular season, and you can rest assured he's not done adding to his collection.
Davis is also an elite defender. He's a guy who can guard multiple positions, and it's not a good idea to test him in the paint. He led the nation in blocks by a fairly significant margin.
Generally speaking, Davis can't be stopped, and he only got better and better as the year went along. If he continues to do work in the SEC Tournament, it will take a miracle to beat Kentucky.
Who's Going to Beat Them?
Seriously. I'm asking.
The Wildcats went undefeated in SEC play this season, and many of the games weren't even close. Kentucky made a habit of winning conference tilts by double digits.
Kentucky's domination of the SEC during the regular season made one thing abundantly clear, and that's that no team in the conference is even close to being as good as the Wildcats. There are some solid teams in the SEC, but Kentucky is the only one that can be called elite.
So once again, who's going to beat them?
