Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
As far as possibilities go, the idea of Moss teaming with Drew Brees is nothing short of intriguing.
The Saints may actually end up needing Moss. They stand to lose top wide receiver Marques Colston to free agency—not to mention fellow wide receiver Robert Meachem. The franchise tag was an option for Colston, but the Saints ultimately had to use their tag on Drew Brees, with the two sides still struggling to agree to terms on a contract extension.
Brees is coming off a season in which he set a new single-season record with 5,476 passing yards. He also had a career-best 46 touchdown passes.
The 35-year-old Moss announced his intention to play in the NFL again on his birthday, Feb. 13. He sat out the entire 2011 season, during which he said he took time to "adjust" some things in his life.
Moss' last season in 2010 was not his finest. He caught just 28 passes all season, bouncing from the New England Patriots to the Minnesota Vikings to the Tennessee Titans.
For his career, Moss currently ranks fifth all-time in career receiving yards, and he is tied for second with 153 touchdown receptions.
