College Football Recruiting 2013: Predictions on the Top 10 Uncommitted Recruits

Edwin WeathersbyJun 7, 2018

Here we go, folks! This is my first predictions piece for the 2013 recruiting cycle. It will be very interesting to come back to this piece next February, as I'm sure much will have happened and changed on the recruiting front by then.

However, for this read, I'm going to take a stab at predicting where the top 10 recruits who are uncommitted will end up. Feel free to chime in with your predictions as well.

Let's get started!

10. Ty Isaac, RB

1 of 10

Isaac is a 6'3", 215-pound RB prospect from Illinois. He has offers from many of the nation's best programs. His size, speed and ability to catch the football will get him on the field early in college.

It seems like he wants to stay in the Midwest and play in a pro-style offense, according to Rivals. I predict he signs with Michigan.

9. Kendall Fuller, DB

2 of 10

Fuller is one of the most athletic players in the country, as the 6'0", 185-pounder can play DB or WR. He's got family ties in Blacksburg, as his three brothers are Hokies, according to Rivals.

For this reason, I feel like he will end up at Virginia Tech.

8. Vernon Hargreaves III, CB

3 of 10

Hargreaves is the top DB in Florida and his father is an assistant at USF. The 5'10", 180-pounder is an elite corner with offers from all over.

I think it comes down to a pick of Florida State, Florida and USF. The Bulls will be in the race, but in the end, I think the chance to play at Florida State wins out.

7. Adam Breneman, TE

4 of 10

After hauling in 34 offers and making visits, Breneman is down to a core four of Penn State, Ohio State, Maryland and Notre Dame, reported by Rivals.

At 6'5", 220 pounds, he'll be a great pass-catching TE in college. I predict that Breneman stays home and gives Bill O'Brien his first landmark recruiting victory at Penn State.

6. Max Browne, QB

5 of 10

The expectation for Browne is that he'll likely make his choice before the season begins. At 6'5", and over 200 pounds, the QB is a Washington native with some elite program offers.

According to Rivals, USC recently offered Browne on a visit to L.A., and Oklahoma, Auburn, Oklahoma State and Alabama are in the mix.

I think the Trojans land him.

5. Michael Hutchings, LB

6 of 10

Hutchings is a 5-star LB prospect that checks in at 6'2", 210 pounds. The Northern California native has close to 20 offers and the list is growing.

USC, Cal, Oregon and Oklahoma are just a few to name among many, many more, says Rivals. I say watch out for the Trojans.

4. Su'a Cravens, DB

7 of 10

At 6'1", 200-pounds, Cravens is a dynamic safety prospect. The Los Angeles native can also play RB, but the back end patrol is where he's likely headed as a college player.

USC, Arkansas, Stanford, Notre Dame and Oklahoma were thought to be his top five, according to Rivals, but Cravens' decision appears to be up in the air.

In the end, I think playing at home for USC may be too much to pass up.

3. Antonio Conner, DB

8 of 10

Conner is an elite 6'2", 200-pound safety. According to Rivals, he appears to be down to a final three of Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Alabama.

I think state pride leads him to stay in-state, and an Egg Bowl battle ensues. Hugh Freeze and the Rebels win out here.

2. Laremy Tunsil, OT

9 of 10

At 6'6", 275 pounds, Tunsil is the top OL in the nation.

The Lake City, Florida native has offers from many of the nation's elite, but the way Tunsil was beaming about his trip to Tallahassee, as Rivals reports, makes him a prime FSU prospect.

1. Robert Nkemdiche, DL

10 of 10

The nation's top prospect remains uncommitted. The 6'5", 270-pound DL is the same class of player as a Mario Edwards, Noah Spence or Jadeveon Clowney.

Nkemdiche's top five, in no order, include Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss and Clemson, according to ajc.com. Another aspect of his recruitment to watch is where his girlfriend wants to go, as he wants to be with her in college.

My guess is that they elect to attend Alabama.
