March Madness 2012: Predicting Which Teams Will Earn No. 1 Seeds in Big Dance
No. 1 seeds haven’t been planted.
March weather comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb, but March Madness comes in like a lion and goes out like a tyrannosaurus. The nation’s top teams will battle it out in championship week with the hopes of cementing the top seed in a Big Dance bracket. Here are the four schools that will do just that this month.

UConn's STACKED Schedule ☠️

Report: Biggest Spenders in Men's CBB 🤑
The Jayhawks are riding a seven-game winning streak including Ws against then-No. 6 Baylor and No. 3 Missouri. Expect them to take care of business against Texas to solidify themselves as a No. 1 seed on Saturday.
If Thomas Robinson continues to play like he has this season, Kansas will be difficult to pick against. He is averaging an impressive 17.8 points and 11.8 boards per game.
Syracuse
Syracuse is 29-1. They play in the Big East. Allow me to repeat myself: Syracuse has one loss and they play in the Big East.
Despite their incredible regular season effort, Louisville stands in their way of locking up a No. 1 seed. The Cardinals are currently ranked 18th in the nation and they only lost to Cuse by one point back on February 13th, but it wouldn’t be wise to bet against the Orange at home.
North Carolina
Yeah, the Tar Heels aren’t losing to the Blue Devils again this year. If it weren’t for an Austin Rivers miracle buzzer-beater, North Carolina would have their eye on a season sweep.
They are the superior team. Their starting lineup featuring Kendall Marshall, Harrison Barnes, John Henson and Tyler Zeller is stacked beyond belief. Duke is at home, but UNC is out for revenge and they're too talented not to take it.
Kentucky
Does John Calipari know how to build a basketball team or what?
This Kentucky team isn’t as flashy as John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins and company, but they’re just as effective. The 29-1 Wildcats will continue their winning streak by knocking off Florida on Sunday afternoon. They haven’t lost since December 10th and it was by one point.
Kentucky’s starting-five is even more loaded with pro prospects than UNC's which includes Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Doron Lamb, Terrence Jones and Marquis Teague.
